Rambling (the verbal sort)
Mar. 14th, 2015 11:53 amThe current prompt for
fan_flashworks is "Locked". What follows is my thought process, which I was going to post yesterday, but didn't because there was the Important Brownie Mother's Day post to make. So really, this is all irrelevant, but, as I say to the Brownies when playing games: my game, my rules (aka if Screech Owl says you're out there is no point arguing). So my blog, I can write what I want.
The problem with the prompt was that there were a few obvious ideas, which therefore I didn't want to use. So I considered:
The Hobbit, the door to Erebor - the most obvious of all. And I do want to get my Fantasy badge.
Guy of Gisborne locked in the dungeons of Nottingham Castle - for some reason Much comes to rescue him. Possibility of Rare Pairs (silver).
A classic locked door mystery - Sherlock Holmes, either ACD or BBC.
I drove down the motorway, chanting locked in, locked out (doors or websites requiring a password), until finally inspiration hit. I wrote Unexpected Allies and got this:

There's a new round of
intoabar coming up and I'm quite excited. I've chosen my protagonist and three fandoms.
And finally, there are things to watch on the television. The second half of "Forever" is back. And season 3 of Person of Interest starts Monday week. Plus my DVD of "Grantchester" has arrived. And I'm watching season 1 of "Hannibal" on DVD.
