Meme swiped from [livejournal.com profile] okapi1895 who got it from [livejournal.com profile] scfrankles (who in turn got it from [livejournal.com profile] rachelindeed )  There are 40 questions in total, but to begin at the beginning ...

1.  Describe your comfort zone - a typical you-fic.
Hurt/comfort, with a bit of humour.

2.  Is there a trope you've yet to try your hand at, but want to?
No.  One way or another I've tried most of the tropes which interest me.  Of course, that doesn't mean something else will crop up.

3.  Is there a trope you wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole?
Yes, some of the wierder kink tropes.  Anything with extreme violence.  Non-con.  I may include references to such things, but wouldn't write them as a trope.

4.  How many fic ideas or you nurturing now?  Care to share one of them.
Watson 1918, and the Lucas/Adam moving on fic, obviously.  Plus there's a couple of exchanges.  And someone opened the bunny hutches last night ...

5.  Share one of your strengths.
My characters are generally in character.

6.  Share one of your weaknesses.
Getting bored and leaving exposition in my head.

7/8. Share one of your favourite pieces of prose/dialogues you've written and explain why you're proud of it.
Can't think of anything quickly.
ETA: At [livejournal.com profile] scfrankles suggestion Nunc Dimittis which I am proud of, because it's bittersweet.

9.  Which fic has been the hardest to write?
Probably the Lewis big bangs - I just don't do long fics.

10.  Which fic has been the easiest to write?
Haven't a clue.  Some of the [livejournal.com profile] fan_flashworks have just flown, as have some other prompt ficlets.

11.  Is writing a passion or just your fun hobby?
I need to write, but at the same time it has to be fun - somewhere between the two.

12. Is there an episode above all others that inspires you just a little bit more?
No, but I do respond to things and think 'I need to write about that'.

13/14.  What's the best/worst writing advice you've ever come across?
Remove a lot of the 'that's.

15.  If you could choose one of your fics to be filmed which would you choose?
I'd like to see my Lewis bigbangs made into episodes.

16.  If you could only write one pairing for the rest of your life which one would it be?
Don't be ridiculous.

17.  Do you write your story from start to finish, or do you write the scenes out of order?
Start to finish every time.  I may have thoughts as to where it's going to go, but sometimes they have to be jettisoned.

18.  Do you use any tools, like worksheets or outlines.
If I'm writing something long, with a number of characters I keep a list of them on an index card.  I've done that for Sussex Retirement, where villagers from one fic turn up again two or three fics later, it's easier than rereading to find them.

19.  Stephen King once said his muse is a man who lives in the basement.  Do you have a muse?
Who do you think let the bunnies out of their hutches?

20.  Describe your perfect writing conditions.
Somewhere with chocolate and wine to hand.
