More writing thoughts

I like writing for prompts and challenges and the thought of doing something for a period of time, generally one month, appeals.  Until it doesn't.  I get sucked into the 'it must be done' frame of mind and about two-thirds of the way through start feeling myself getting stressed.  Which is ridiculous, given that I only write for fun.  Does anyone else get that way?  Which is why I aim to blog 'five times a fortnight'; often enough that I won't forget about it, but flexible enough that it is unstressed.  At least by now I have a reasonable idea of how my mind works, which is why it's neither twice a week, nor ten times a month.  I don't enquire why.

But then yesterday, panic.  comment_fic had as its prompt words "food, food, food"; watsons_woes had "animals, animals, animals"; fan_flashworks new prompt opened with "hot water"; it was writing hour and I need to start posting my sequel to Legacy.

Fortunately, there were no suitable prompts at Comment Fic.  I wrote about the Ocelot for Watson's Woes - not technically within the definition, since the ocelot is my own creation, but she was acceptable.  I've also made a decision: either do Comment Fic or Watson's Woes this month, unless there's a prompt that will write itself (as the ocelot did).  Also, unless specified, not worry about writing actual drabbles, and just sling the words down.

"Hot water" said Lucas North and bath (no, I'm not always shallow - *shakes self to remove certain images from head*) and is two-thirds written.  I used writing hour to progress my Lewis garden fic - it's coming along nicely, just requires the whodunit, which can swirl around in my brain for the next couple of days and hopefully will emerge in time for tomorrow's writing hour.  And I still don't have a title for the sequel so I can't post it anyway.

Meanwhile, a number of my flist have been fighting their Pros BigBang.  And we do this for fun?
