Seven/Seven WIP meme
Jun. 22nd, 2015 07:52 pmA couple of my flist have done this and tagged anyone who wanted to play along. I've not done so to this point, because my WIPs don't get as far as seven pages, so there's never been seven lines. But now *DRUM ROLL* my fic for
lewis_challenge Summer Challenge has reached the seven page state, so look here:
James phoned Laura, to establish when they could expect the preliminary results from the post mortem. Then he turned to Tomlinson. “I’d like a brief timeline of Riley’s actions when he was in Oxford, with, where possible, who he reported to and who he worked with. If you’re not sure put a question mark for the moment, we can fill in the details later. Go out for lunch and eat your sandwiches on a park bench or something, it will be easier than facing questions in here. If anyone suggests you join them just tell them Inspector Hathaway has sent you out, they don’t need to know why. Then meet me at the morgue at two o’clock for the post mortem report.”
I am not convinced this will be done in time for the Challenge, but I have three drabbles in reserve.
Also, it's lonely prompts week on
comment_fic and for reasons best known to myself I've taken it up with gusto. (And no, I don't have a clue why). So if you find me filling all your old prompts this week, you'll know why. Plus it's
fan_flashworks amnesty challenge, for which I'm working on five ficlets. And
older_not_dead has an amnesty prompt month (or two) which has inspired me to write more ACD.
So perhaps it's a good idea I'm doing writing hour tonight.
