Chaos Thy Name Is Brownies
Jun. 14th, 2019 12:17 pmWe started back for our final few weeks before the summer holidays last week. We're now back at full strength - we had two spaces, because one Brownie left to join Guides following Pack Holiday, and one who was due to start last half term decided against it. So we now have two new girls, one started last week and one this week. And there are still plenty more on our waiting list.
The Brownies created their own version of Communication Top Trumps, led by Flamingo (leader-in-training). This was the last part of the Communicate badge, so all the Brownies who have completed all five parts were awarded their badge. We'll hold a catch up week for those who have missed out.

This week Doodles was away, leaving me in charge with Flamingo's assistance. We had someone coming to lead a zumba session which was great (she's also a Brownie leader, which makes it easier). Except, when we arrived the entrance to the car park had been locked. We parked across the road in the supermarket car park. There was some chaos when the parents came to drop off their daughters. The kitchen was also locked, which was annoying since that would have been the easiest way to provide water, which the girls needed quite a lot of. The Brownies really enjoyed the zumba and they all took part.
It also gave me a chance to get to talk to Flamingo and learn a little more of her background, which I appreciated. So all in all a good evening, with added chaos.
