Having enjoyed the Christmas wreath making at Nature in Art, I signed up for another Dare to Dabble, this time to decorate an Easter egg.  I arrived thinking I'd be doing something fancy with one egg, or maybe two if I was lucky.  This is what we were given to start with:

Five different eggs!  We were shown what was available and left to entertain ourselves, with assistance as required.  It was great fun.

There was a real egg, which could be decorated with molten wax and then dyed.  I didn't bother dyeing mine.  And then it had to be blown.  There was a little gadget (German-made) to remove the contents of the egg, but sadly my egg cracked.  So I had another egg, which I blew first and then decorated with more melted wax:

There was a ceramic egg, which I decorated with acrylic paint:

There was a polystyrene egg, which I pinned glittery objects on:

And a plastic egg, which I again decorated with acrylic paint:

And finally, there was a chocolate egg, on which I used coloured writing icing:

Then I decided my plastic egg needed a little friend:

To produce a whole box of eggs:

SM ate the chocolate one.
