Quick Cross-Stitch Update

Although it's only halfway through April, I shall be away next week, so I'm unlikely to get very much more done this month.

The bookmark is almost finished - I might get that done this weekend, then it's just a matter of sewing on the backing, and maybe doing the backstitch.



And the big news, as far as I'm concerned, is that I have completed a whole band of the Klimt.  So I'm an eighth of the way through.

I love how well the Klimt is coming along. So many greens though, I know how tough that can be, but it does make the sunflowers stand out.

I'm really pleased with the way the Klimt is progressing. The greens are horrendous, there are two which are practically the same shade - on the other hand, if I do make a one stitch mistake no-one will ever be the wiser.

That is the good point about such designs; little mistakes don't show up. Some designs, one wrong stitch is glaringly obvious.

I want to put up some pics myself but I can't seem to find the time at the moment. Juggling so many things.

Eventually I will, maybe after Easter when the rainy weather returns. At the moment I want to make the most of the good weather to do some gardening.

You are very patient! I don't enjoy crafts that take a long time to complete - though in another sense, you write mostly short fic and I go for novels which take ages. Anyway, I love Klimt and am enjoying your updates on the work!

Normally I'm all for quick results, and, yes, write short fic, but for some reason I enjoy doing cross-stitch. I like Klimt - hence the choice of pattern - and am glad you are enjoying the updates.
