New Activities - Month Ten

There's really not much to report regarding new activities this month, so I am very pleased to be able to say I'm working on story_works Take a Leap - February Challenge which is to try out a new pairing, either friendship or love.

I've decided to stick with Spooks (MI5) again, but instead of my OTP of Lucas North/Adam Carter I'm going with canon with regards to Adam's death, to explore the relationship between Lucas and Ros Myers. To that end I'm using the three challenges from fan_flashworks plus various drabble comms (drabble_zone and 100words ) and LJ's comment fic to write Forging New Bonds. There are at least two more chapters to come - one already posted to Fan Flashworks, the second for their Amnesty challenge.

In addition, I've been taking part in the Three Sentence Ficathon and have achieved a place in two of the word clouds!

You have so much on your plate at the moment, it's no wonder you just want to enjoy your old hobbies.

Part of my enthusiasm for new things is because I don't want to become someone who doesn't do something because they've never done it before. So if I'm used to trying new things (however small) I'm less likely to fall into that trap.

I think new challenges are necessary to continuing to grow as a person and you really do a great job with it!

I'm getting new challenges but they're all coming through work.
