Writing - September 2020

Slightly early, but I don't expect to be writing much more this month.  As I've been saying I'm cutting back on the writing, so 7K is half what I've written for a number of months, but I'm not worried.  My total of £130K is still ahead of my annual goal.

Last month I wrote for the Short August Medieval Exchange: From Dinner to Supper which is Castlevania (Netflix) and received colorant rouge (Pilgrimage) a view of the Mute from the POV of Raymond de Merville. 

whatif_au had the Musical challenge prompt this month, so enter The Elsinore Village Players who are hoping to put on Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.

I have written my stageoffools exchange fic, which will go live next month.  I've signed up for spook_me and watsons_woes will be having their Spooktacular.  I shall also take part in yuletide and have made my three nominations.

In order: 15 rare fanworks for which I've produced photo stories; 4 fanworks for characters with canonical disabilities (I use Call the Midwife, so one with a blind mother, one with a thalidomide child, and two with Reggie who has Down's Syndrome)
ETA: I gave you the wrong details for the Emigre, which is for canonical immigrants/emigrants and for which I also used Call the Midwife and Lucille Anderson who comes from the West Indies.

I always feel it's low, because there are those who aim for 300K+ a year, but it's a steady number and I'm happy which is the main thing :) And thank you!

I've finished all my current projects and am in the middle of taking a deep breath. Really, I should be looking at marketing but hope to find something else to do first...

I've already finished a Christmas story - a freebie original for my Wordpress and FB readers - it's with Marg for beta and editing! To a great extent I suspect Christmas this year will be an online affair. I assume you're 'distanced' from your family - fingers crossed for some socialisation before the New Year!

We've been visiting my son and granddaughter and occasionally DIL, although we often go when she's working (she's a nurse), not to avoid her but because if she's not they do things as a family. We haven't seem my daughter (recently qualified as an Associate Ambulance Practitioner) since she feels it would be best not to, given her job.
