Crafts - October 2021

There was a discussion on get_knitted (all crafts are included!) about how many different projects we were all doing.  I counted mine and came up with six at the moment, with a further kit arriving in the next few days.

So:

Craft one - Knitted cardigan for Mini Hobbit

The right front is now finished - with a matching unicorn head facing the left front.  I've ordered buttons and begun the first sleeve.




Craft two - knitted squares for throw

Two more squares finished: potager and lavender.  This is being temporarily put to one side to allow for Christmas crafts.

 

Craft three: knitted Harry Potter scarf

Progressing slowly, also put aside for Christmas crafts




Craft four: knitted gingerbread man

The back is completed and I'm up to the head of the front.



Craft five: stitched snowflake

Using the plastic fabric I used for the two coasters in the summer, so I can cut around the stitching. More of an experiment and only just started.



Craft six: cross stitched Christmas cards

Going along nicely.

Excellent progress on all of them. I'm intrigued to see how the snowflake will turn out, and also looking forward to the completed gingerbread man. Half of one couldn't have been easy to photograph.

I'm interested in the snowflake. I shall err on the side of caution when I cut the shape out. The half gingerbread man was determined to curl up.

Always wise, especially when trying something for the first time. Nail clippers work really well for snipping off any jaggedy bits scissors can't get.

Small things like that always do.

They all look marvellous! I love the Christmas cards. The sleigh and reindeer one is gorgeous, and the other one too, of course. A card that will be cherished, I'm sure.

I tried cross-stitching once when I was a kid, and goodness, I don't know how you have the patience for it! They look great, though!

I suspect my patience has improved since I have grown older. I find the concentration good for cutting out thoughts, and I also listen to audiobooks while I do it. I'm very pleased you like them.

Oh gosh those Christmas cards are so beautiful! And I'm impressed by how many crafting activities you have on in one goal. I am curious on how the stitched snowflake will turn out :}

I've sort of given up on crafts for the time being. Maybe I'll start again in the winter. Love the knitting!!
