We visited a large number of gardens this time - making use of the reasonable weather and the arrival of spring flowers.

Aberglasney Gardens

 

 

 

 

Stackpole Walled Garden, which is leased by the Stackpole Estate to MENCAP to enable adults with learning difficulties to garden in a safe environment.

 

Picton Castle

 

and the National Botanic Garden of Wales, which we'd previously visited last November but had wanted to return to.

It was lovely. Everything seemed further on than at home.

It always amazes me that camellias bloom so prodigiously so early in the year.

The climate is milder in west Wales than we have about 150 miles away, which makes a difference. They were beautiful.

Thank you very much. For a last minute trip (we had to rearrange our original plans) it went amazingly well. I'm glad you like my icon - he's one of my three Welsh dragons!

Such pretty spring flowers! We're in autumn of course but it's still very hot and humid so there's not a lot of autumn colour yet.

Yes, it's lovely to see all the spring flowers. I like summer and autumn flowers too, but the spring ones always bring promise of better days with them.

There are Australian flowers in the glass dome, soon I imagine what we saw were not the ones you have at the moment.

Your garden pictures are gorgeous! I love your photos from Aberglasney Gardens, though, naturally, everything you captured is beautiful. As other people have said, it's so nice to see some real signs of spring! :-)
