Wales - Birds and Mammals
Mar. 20th, 2022 04:06 pmBosherston Lily Ponds are part of the Stackpole Estate, and having visited the Walled Garden we went for a walk around the lakes, which leads down to a small beach. All very pretty, even though the lilies weren't out yet.
On our walk we saw a cormorant enjoying the peace of one of the lakes, and then, at the beach there was a heron.

Picton Castle includes the Welsh Owl Garden and Zoo. We arrived in time to see Freddie the otter being fed. We then wandered round and I took a blurry photo of Speedy the Skunk.

There was also a polecat called Bear. (A cousin of the Ferret, his favourite activities are sleeping and eating.)

Later in the day there was a flying demonstration with Elsie the eagle owl and two barn owls.
