About a week ago we went to the Berkeley Show, which is a traditional country show. When we first started going it was much bigger and held on August Bank Holiday Monday, but now it's smaller and held on a Sunday at the end of June. Originally it was a venue where local farmers competed their cattle and sheep, there were a large number of horse competitions, both ridden and in hand, plus the traditional handicraft sections. There were also a large number of trade stalls.
It is much smaller now, although gave us a good day out.

There were various craft stalls within one of the large tents. This is the one the Son's Mother-in-Law was running, with her handmade items.

There were still a number of riding classes - this is the arena for one of them:

There were some animals, including sheep and these impressive shire horses:

Some large farm machinery, although it's unlikely any of the farmers there would be buying:

And various activities in the main arena, including the local foxhounds, a horse demonstration and Shetland pony racing:
