Scotland Part Two
Sep. 5th, 2022 06:59 pmOur second full day in Scotland we took up the optional excursion to Glasgow. Since we had limited time there (we shall be going back) I decided to spend my time in the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. It was wonderful, so much to see, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The following are just of few of the photos I took, where I've chosen items which particularly appealed.
A big draw was Charles Rennie Mackintosh and the Four (Mackintosh, James Herbert MacNair, Margaret and Frances Macdonald).

Unfortunately the photo of this cabinet doesn't do it justice, it was beautiful:

There were paintings from many centuries, including some of the Impressionists. I particularly liked two from Scottish painters in the 1920s:

There was an orrery from 1833 and an Anderson Special for 1930s:

And, lastly, The Coronation of the Blessed Virgin by Henry Clarke (1923)
