Our second full day in Scotland we took up the optional excursion to Glasgow.  Since we had limited time there (we shall be going back) I decided to spend my time in the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.  It was wonderful, so much to see, I thoroughly enjoyed it.  The following are just of few of the photos I took, where I've chosen items which particularly appealed.

A big draw was Charles Rennie Mackintosh and the Four (Mackintosh, James Herbert MacNair, Margaret and Frances Macdonald).

Unfortunately the photo of this cabinet doesn't do it justice, it was beautiful:

There were paintings from many centuries, including some of the Impressionists.  I particularly liked two from Scottish painters in the 1920s:

There was an orrery from 1833 and an Anderson Special for 1930s:

And, lastly, The Coronation of the Blessed Virgin by Henry Clarke (1923)

I'm sorry you had so little time in Glasgow, but I can relate. I think the one coach tour I was on stopped there for the night, but I don't really remember seeing any of it. I'd love to go back and see it properly someday. Anyway, I think you made good use of your time at Kelvingrove Art Gallery. It looks like it has a great collection, and you certainly took some beautiful photos. I especially like the ones of the orrery and the stained glass window.
