Goal Update
Oct. 8th, 2022 06:03 pmTwo months after the previous update, and time for further reflection.
Goal No 1: To use dates without specific commitments profitably
This was set when I was expecting there to be two or three days when I had nothing specific planned. Things have changed and there's generally only one day completely free. So today I watched all six half hour episodes of the latest series of Ghosts. Which was lovely, because I simply relaxed. I've also started going to bed earlier when I haven't got anything pressing to do, and the temptation is simply to spend time on the computer. So, because I read in bed, I read more - a definite plus, especially when, once again, the library has provided all my reservations at once.
Goal No 2: To do a couple of extra crafting activities a month (or one large one)
That's in abeyance, although I have done some Miss Marple colouring. This is the season for Christmas crafts, so apart from cross stitch cards for all the family and some friends, I have mini Hobbit's cardigan which I'm knitting, and two other knitted projects. Just keeping up with these is quite sufficient really!
Goal No 3: Continue updating my blog posting
August was quiet, and we were away at the end of the month, which meant I posted about our holiday in September. I probably need to find some further subjects to write about.
On the whole, I seem to be doing okay. Maybe next year I should set some more specific goals, but then, who knows what will be happening by then.

It sounds as though you've got a good balance between being prodctive, but doing things that you enjoy and relax you.
Besides, what you say about next year - who knows what will be happening by then - is only too true.

Date: 2022-10-09 11:43 am (UTC)I'm now involved in things I hadn't even thought of at the beginning of the summer - things I'm keen to do, but use up more of my time.

Date: 2022-10-10 07:20 am (UTC)I know you gave an example of Miss Marple Colouring, but I couldn't enlarge the picture. What is it?

Date: 2022-10-10 07:59 am (UTC)It's a set of Miss Marple book covers drawn in an Art Nouveau style. I then put my own colours on - not Art Nouveau and limited to the shades I own.
