Crafts - March 2023

Not much knitting this month, just a mermaid plus a doll's mermaid tail for Mini Hobbit for Easter

   

However, I've been progressing with the cross stitch.  Dearle's Golden Lily is finished



I've stitched a couple of Easter cards

   

And I've started my new big project, Klimt's The Kiss, which should eventually look like this



There are 324+ squares (because the ends aren't exact 10x10 squares) and I've stitched about two

Oh, the lily is lovely! I'm looking forward to the progess on the Klimt. Saw it in Vienna, in the museum, and also on every single item sold in tourist shops. I indulged in a glasses-cleaner (don't quite know the word - the bit of fabric one uses to clean one's reading glasses; they often come with pretty prints).

I know it will take you a long time to finish, this is so complicated a piece, but that's all the more fun for us dedicated followers.

Thank you very much. Yes, we saw the Klimt in Vienna. I've been thinking of doing it for a while, so when my regular craft supplier had a sale on I bought it. It's definitely complicated (my language at times proves that) and the gold thread is a pain to work with, so it will take time and you will certainly be able to follow along :)
