Crafts - July 2023

I finished the third (and final) teddy.  Someone else will be knitting teddies from now on, which suits me as they are keen and I was only doing so because no-one else was.  This teddy is for someone who had been coming regularly to services, so I was happy to be knitting theirs, it felt like a personal gift.



Then there are the roses and daisy I knitted for sunshine_challenge 

   

And having knitted the daughter's cowl out of super chunky yarn I thought I'd knit myself something with chunky yarn, so started a tank top:



Cross stitch wise I have been concentrating on Klimt's The Kiss, and am now about one-quarter of the way through:

Yay, teddy!

I love your flowers, they're so pretty, and your tank top looks like it is growing fast, which shouldn't be surprising seeing as it's chunky. Still can't make out any elements of the picture, but the cross stitch is coming along. A lot of similar colours though, so that can't be easy.

Thank you - yes, that was one reason for buying chunky wool, to have the tank top grow quickly. The cross stitch is progressing well, despite the similar colours which I have to peer at (although also means the odd mistake goes unnoticed) and the sparkly thread which is not fun.

Apologies for being so behind with your posts. Work has been absolutely crazy recently, so I've fallen behind with a few things. Anywaaaaay, I think the teddy is adorable. The monogrammed "F" with the flower is really sweet. I'm sure the recipient really appreciated the gift. :-)

I'm still loving the knitted flowers, and I think your knitted tank top is looking great.

I'm happy to see a bit more progress on your Klimt cross stitch project. :-)

It's never a bother to me if you comment a while after I've posted - sorry work's been so busy for you!

We handed the teddy over today - the recipient was asleep, she's 5 months old, but her parents liked it.

The cross stitch is progressing, although it's going to take quite a time to finish.
