The Klimt is progressing, although I've pushed back the date I expect to finish until sometime in October (having realised it took nearly 10 months to get half way)



Three birthday cards:

      

The last was for Mini Hobbit, so I've blocked her name out - she is 7 today.

And a Valentine's card:



I decided I really wanted to do some knitting and after much thought and consultation with J I decided to knit another chunky knit tank top, but in a different colour:



And when we looked at the yarns, J spotted one he thought would be ideal for a hat (for me), so I'm doing that as well:

Thank you! That's the advantage of cross stitch, at least you start with the holes :)

The tank top is working out really well - it's a yarn which changes colour and it seems to have worked out really well.

I really like the tank top colour too. The hat yarn is a bit bobbly which makes it harder, but it's only a hat so not too big.

The Klimt is growing on me. When we saw the original I preferred some of his other paintings, but now I'm seeing that there's more to it.

Yes, I was pleased with the yarn I chose. And although it never feels as if I've done much stitching, at the end of the month I always seem to have made reasonable progress.

More catch up. I'm impressed by how stunning the Klimt project is looking. I can understand why you pushed back the completion date. It must be something that takes a lot of time.

The cross stitch birthday and Valentine's Day cards are great! I love the one that you made for Mini Hobbit!

Thank you very much. I hadn't realised how long I'd already been working on the Klimt. I aim to do something each day, but how much tends to vary, so we shall see how it goes - I should definitely be finished by the end of the year! I'm delighted you like Mini Hobbit's card - she loves cats, so it seemed appropriate.

I'm delighted with both of the yarns I'm knitting.
