Drawing like Georgia O'Keeffe

Yesterday's Dare to Dabble was a drawing session, with the aim being to draw large flowers in the style of Georgia O'Keeffe.  We worked with coloured chalks.

   

My first flower:



In order to take up all the sheet of paper I added more flowers



My next one looked more like a demented cat



Until I drew a charcoal border round it and turned it the other way up!



After which I drew a large flower (or part of flower)



And then moved onto card and pastel chalks

I think it's very beautiful. Perhaps not in the style of O'Keefe, but perfectly in the style of O'Hobbit! I like the colours especially.

The first ones immediately reminded me of coreopsis =)

I was trying to draw a flower which may well have been croeopsis (I've just googled it) or at least something very similar, so that's encouraging.

I do like bright flowers in particular.

You were able to get some beautiful results with those coloured chalks! I especialy like the flower on your Easter card and that very first flower, though the flower with the charcoal border has some stunning colours.
