The Friday Five: Flowers

This week's thefridayfive 

1. What are your 5 favourite flowers?
Roses, freesias, pansies, snapdragons, chrysanthemums - although some of these will vary - I like flowers where the blooms are in different colours




2. What do you like to do with flowers?
Look at them, take photos.  Visiting gardens with flowers.  In the past I've cross stitched flowers, knitted flowers, and drawn them.



3. Do you like native flowers, domestic flowers, or a mix of both?
A mix.  I like seeing wild flowers when going for walks



4. Do you grow flowers yourself, or just look at what grows elsewhere?
We have flowers growing in our garden although I'm not responsible for them.  The snapdragons self seed.



5. Do you know (any version of) the Language of Flowers?
I use the Language of Flowers occasionally when writing Sherlock Holmes stories, and I also wrote one of the Durin Mysteries AU where Bilbo is a gardener, making use of the language of flowers.

Yay! Your flowers are so pretty (the embroidered ones too!). And yay for the Language of Flowers. And wildflowers. Who doesn't love flowers?
