Replace my current laptop

My old laptop couldn't be updated to Windows 11, so I knew I would have to replace it in the first half of this year.  Doing so now made sense because it was a quieter time, which would enable me to get it up and running without the pressure to do things on it.

I ordered it through John Lewis last Saturday and was delighted (and slightly alarmed) when it arrived two days later.  I had made sure I would be around when it arrived, except for Monday morning, when we were both out, and which seemed far too soon.  So, of course...   Anyway, I re-arranged my morning slightly, it arrived safely and all was well.

It is nice to have a laptop which starts up quickly, rather than one where you switch it on and go away and do something while it slowly gets going.

What make did you go for?

I don't need a new one yet, but I'm always interested in finding good makes for future reference.

Yay for new laptop! While this one hasn't got to that stage yet (ordered the night Lockdown 2 was leaked, so I guess I'm lucky it hasn't got to that) I definitely remember the "switch on and go away" with all my old ones.

Saudades do meu laptop.

Yay for new laptop (even though when I have to get one I put it off as long as possible, because I hate setting it all back up again...)

My current one is also a HP, I've had then for a while and find them very reliable for a Luddites like me.
