Firstly, here is October's Mouse SAL

I have stitched 7 Christmas cards (no pictures yet) and began a Christmas scene



And the first 7 pictures for an Advent calendar



Earlier in the month I finished my knittern (knitted bittern)



And started a knitted hat for the Daughter

I've been spending a lot of time on cross stitch this month (and much less writing!), so I'm glad it's going okay. I hope she likes the hat! I shall put it in her stocking - at least it will squash down to fit inside.

I've just been making more pumpkins. (And writing.) Never finished the last lot of cross stitch designs I was working on. I'm halfway through a rose, but I needed to get the pumpkins underway, so I could be sure I'd have enough come Halloween.

I will be taking photos when they're finished. I have 10 left to sew up and stuff, then I need to do the faces on all 100. Hoping that won't take too long, so I'll have time to take photos before the big day.

Ohhh the mouse is lovely! The spider detail on top of the design makes it even more striking!
Finished knittern!
I haven't done much crafting and seeing you well into advent stuff makes me squirm a little. Because yes, anything to be ready for Christmas should be started now, a hairsbreadth from October already!

Thank you very much. Yes, I have to start Christmas crafts now to get everything done. I do quite a number of cards and I've learnt leaving everything until November and December is a bad idea, especially allowing for postage.

Wow...I really am behind. Apologies once again. Your beautiful crafts have put me in the holiday spirit, though. I love the hat that you're working on for your daughter, as well as that Christmas scene and the pictures for the Advent calendar. However, my favourite has to be your knittern: it's FANTASTIC! :-D

I can't end this comment without praising your Halloween cross stitch. I love Halloween, and I think the mouse peeking out from behind the jack-o'-lantern is both sweet and spooky.
