Possibly Our Last Term

Back to Brownies yesterday.  With the current uncertainty about our future we are not taking any new girls this term - apart from the younger sister of one of our current Brownies, who will hopefully enjoy at least one term and might be able to go elsewhere.

It was hot.  Too hot to do our usual first night back games night, so we settled for Screech Owl Says, Wink Murder and the Memory Game, based on 'I went to the zoo and saw a ...'  Probably not the ideal suggestion, as the girls then tried to demonstrate the animals when people forgot what came next.

However, we were able to present our donation to Stacey from Gloucestershire Bundles.  The girls were impressed with what we'd bought with the money they'd raised, and seeing the items helped them appreciate what they'd done.  As did carrying bags of nappies to and from cars.



As you can see, there were a lot of nappies.  As well as bottles, bibs, sheets, blankets and bubble bath for the mums.

It's sad that you might have to disband the group but if it does happen you will have gone out on a high note with such an impressive donation.

Yes, we'll have given them plenty to remember. And done something for the community too.

That’s an awesome donation! Go them and their fundraising efforts.

I’m still bummed to hear that the troop isn’t continuing. :( I’m still hoping that someone new shows up and helps soon.

They did really well, and it was good to show them what they'd achieved.

I think it's highly unlikely we'll get anyone to help now, which is sad.
