Birthday Thanks

Thank you all for your good wishes for my birthday.

SM gave me various small items he'd bought when we were in Vienna:



which is lovely, because it keeps the memory alive.  The daughter is taking me to see 'Aladdin' in London in a couple of weeks time - I'm taking her to see 'War Horse' for her birthday the same weekend.  My mother-in-law was consistent and sent a book token - I am not complaining.  And I bought myself a National Gallery diary from my mother - I took it in to show her what she'd bought, and twice more in the hour I was there she said she needed to buy something for me; it's very sad.

I was also fortunate enough to receive two ficlets: Pumpkin Shandy from stonepicnicking_okapi  which is BBC Sherlock Holmes/Hopkins in which Hopkins organises the Yard's Pumpkin orgy and which remains a G - it's hilarious.  And Mrs Hudson Gives Holmes the Brush Off by scfrankles   which is ACD Holmes, Broom cupboard 'verse and once again Holmes/Hopkins and also amusing.  Not to mention the Holmes Minor poetry page is devoted to drinking songs for Mrs Small-Hobbit's birthday.
