We began our last full day in Yorkshire with a visit to Beverley Minster:

It was lovely inside, but I failed to take any photos. From there we walked across the main part of the town to St Mary's Church, where I did take some photos:

which had some rather quirky panels and carvings:

Including what is rumoured to be the original White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland:

After we'd visited the church we found a lovely French restaurant, where we had boeuf bourguignon tart which was delicious, and, since it was a French restaurant I had a glass of wine. For dessert there was a dish which gave tasters of a number of desserts - creme caramel, chocolat pot, meringue - together with an espresso. I don't drink coffee, so was offered tea, but I don't drink tea after a meal either. So the waiter suggested an amaretto. How could I refuse?
We had an excellent break, but I think part of the display at St Mary's summed me up beautifully:
