Writing - May 2020
May. 29th, 2020 04:26 pmHaving spent the last couple of months feeling like I'm not writing much, this month I've reached 18K again, for which there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason.
There's been plenty of Lucas this month: Eight Days in the Country is now posted to chapter 38 and written to chapter 45. My
intoabar challenge was Lucas North meets Edward Denham from Sanditon, so I wrote To Catch A Spy a WWII AU. And also, as NotIntoABar and New Frontiers, there is Five Times Lucas Met Pooh Bear And Friends.
watsons_woes has been having a May drabbles challenge, and I've been writing a very mini casefic: A Trivial Case for which the final part should be posted this weekend.
whatif_au had Tourism AU for this month, so I wrote Welcome to Castle Elsinore, which was Hamlet with cameos by other Shakespearean characters, with a follow up, because clearly the coach tour was arranged by Durin Coaches Onto March Ides Woods, a mixture of the Hobbit and Julius Caesar.
ushobwri had its New Frontiers challenge this month, for which I wrote The Furniture Shop, being inanimate objects (ie armchairs) in the Sherlock fandom.
I have written for Exchange of Interest, but that's not due until next month. I've also signed up for WIP BigBang with the intention of writing the Lewis casefic I started last year but didn't make much progress on, and so far so good.
