There's been quite a lot of cross stitch in the past month - and much less knitting.

The swan and cygnets was finished:



I completed the initials for the wedding card - the wedding was on Saturday so I was able to take it with me:



Our son and his wife had their tenth wedding anniversary, so I stitched them a card:



I made a bookmark as a birthday present (belated) for a friend:



And I've made a good start on this summer's main cross stitch project, the harbour at Tenby:



By contrast I've done much less knitting, although I did complete the next square of my throw (Toronto):



And finally, in keeping with my new goals, I've continued with my painting for numbers:

Very impressive cross stitch, the harbour scene is coming on well! Really like the knitted square as well, but I already told you that. =)

The painting by numbers is starting to look like a picture. There's a bird in the centre, a stork or heron perhaps, and flowers. I love the colours, I think it's going to look amazing!

The finished swan and cygnets looks really impressive and I love all the mini cross stitch patterns. The knitted square looks lovely and the painting is coming on well. You've managed to get through a lot this month.

All of your completed cross stitch projects have turned out beautifully, especially the swan and cygnets piece.

Is that knitted square really called "Toronto"? Interesting!

I'm looking forward to seeing how your paint by numbers looks when it's done.

Thank you very much - the swan and cygnets took about four months, so I was delighted with how they turned out.

I'm currently following a KnitAlong which has architecture from various cities as the inspiration. I can't say I'm taken with it, but they do provide different patterns for me to complete my throw, and I can place them on the outer section.

Thank you - I'm hoping to complete the paint by numbers by the end of the summer - I only do it about once a fortnight, when I've had a quieter day.
