I do like owls.

Here are my owls (not real)



For the last month they have been off on their own adventure, promoting our church Saturday activity, tied in with The Grumpy Owl and the Joy of Christmas.

At which we had REAL OWLS!!!

The kids got to decorate biscuits as owls, made owl masks and owl bookmarks:

   

and, of course, meet the owls for themselves.

Awww, owls!

I went to a demonstration by a raptor rescue group many years ago; one of the things they showed us was how terrible a barn owl's vision is and how good their hearing is. The owl didn't react to motion a meter in front of them, but whne one person in the back of the auditorium clicked a pen, the owl immediately reacted.
