I'm not sure where the Sloth arrived from, although I was very taken with the one we saw in London Zoo, who is shown in my icon.  The first appearance I can find is in August 2016, when he was with the gang wishing scfrankles a Happy Birthday and by the next month he was firmly in place as the sub-editor of the MMI.  Since when he's been an invaluable part of the Gang.

The Sloth is the sub-editor and wielder of the red pen.  His constant complaint is that he wishes the contributors would read through their copy at least once before submitting it.  This is followed by the comment that it’s all very well Dr Watson claiming he can read every word he’s written but as nobody else can make head nor tail of it that is of no use.  The Sloth is also responsible for the incredibly popular Christmas Supplement, which every year sells out soon after it has hit the newsagent’s shelves and has to be reprinted at least once.

I'm the main proof reader/editor/advisor in the family for any applications or important letters and I've been known to make similar complaints!
