Painting on Natural Materials

This month's Dare to Dabble was the opportunity to paint on various different natural materials.
We began with our choice of acrylic paint, plus paintbrushes and I chose a piece of bark:

which I then painted various bugs and a bush for them to inhabit. I am not a delicate artist, but enjoyed working with the bright colours:

My next project was to take a large stone:

and paint a lizard on top and round it:

From there, I moved onto mixing some of my paints together and painted a bird's head on another piece of bark, which was the lighter brown colour:

And finally I painted a peacock design onto a simple black feather:

My full haul for the morning:
