2 APR: Ferret Day: What’s your favorite mustelid?
There can only be one answer to that: The Ferret!!!

“What is that noise?” Aemelia Vole asked.  “It’s very loud.”

“The Ferret has discovered that today is National Ferret Day, and he is declaiming A Song of Ferrets of Old to anyone who comes within earshot,” Mouselet replied.

“Declaiming or singing?”

“Could be either, it’s hard to tell with him.”  Mouselet paused briefly.  “Oh, hello, Poley.  I wondered where you’d got to.”

“I went to find this,” Poley the Moley said.  She showed the two little rodents a large chunk of toffee.  “I’ll give it to the Ferret, then we won’t have to listen any longer.”

“What an excellent idea!”

5 APR: Read a Road Map Day: When’s the last time you read a paper map (real or literary)?
I have a map book in my car, so probably when we went to Wales back in February. Also, if we go to somewhere different in London I often print off a google map for directions.

9 APR: Cherish an Antique Day: What’s the oldest object you own that you cherish?
I still have the teddy bear I was given as a baby.

My family sometimes laugh at the fact that I print off Google maps for places I don't know that well, but at least I have something in case of shit phone signal or flat battery! My uncle and aunt were not happy with their four year old granddaughter when she ripped a page out of their road map on Boxing Day because it's a lot harder to get them now.

That is my reasoning entirely! My road maps are looking very battered now.

Ferrets are fascinating. Road maps are still useful, especially for longer journeys. Teddies are awesome :)
