smallhobbitWhen we left Chester we went on to Llandudno for a few days and from there we took the bus to nearby Conwy to visit the castle.
Conwy Castle was built by King Edward I between 1283 and 1287 to keep the Welsh in their place.
We went up some of the towers, with their spiral stone staircases, holding onto the rope handrail, I took the second photo below from the top of one tower looking over at husband on top of the neighbouring tower.

Date: 2024-10-18 10:43 pm (UTC)I enjoyed Conwy Castle when I went in July, although it left me wishing I didn't have my stone spiral staircase phobia (no handrail, no way. I swear I fell down one in a previous life).
